STEMify your Instruction

Afraid of digital media taken out of context? Or asked, “What am I supposed to do with 5 computers?” or “How should I manage multiple devices?” Have you ever heard a student say, “I’m not good at math?” Do you have difficulties deciding on what science teaching strategies are best to prep students for the Science test of the TASC? This institute is for you!

Our institute has 4 sessions and you are welcome to participate in one or all sessions, but will benefit the most by completing the institute. If you attend all 4 sessions, you will receive a STEM digital badge

Best Practices for Teaching & Learning Mathematics ( First session of the Institute)

Providing high quality mathematics instruction is the goal, but sometimes how to do this effectively is not always clear and concise. In this workshop educators will learn about and discuss the best practices for mathematics instruction, such as pose purposeful questions and facilitate meaningful mathematical discourse; reflect on their current instruction and consider how best to integrate the practices.

Audience: ABE, Pre-HSE, & HSE instructors, math instructors
